about

This song is about the plight of the homeless and was inspired by that street in every big city where the people wander at night with no food and no roof over their heads. In my hometown that street is 'Division Avenue'.

Division is not only the street name which inspired this song but also a metaphor for the 'haves' and 'have nots'.

Regardless of the reasons for their situation or your political beliefs these people exist and this song is for them.

lyrics

LYRICS:

Stumbling in from the cold
brushes the snow from her shoulder
young but she looks quite old
just another forgotten soul in this city

we take a drive through the night
hoping our fortune is noble
they look for shelter and light
praying for food on the table

what is it brings us to this
a place where we lack understanding
a simple alternative twist
we stand up with voices demanding
